I spent a major part of the day trekking around the West Ashley and part of downtown Charleston asking local businesses to hang our Donations Needed Poster:
I first went to Citadel Mall, but I should have guessed that all of those stores have policies about not hanging signs (of any kind) in the store. But places like Charlotte Russe, Victoria’s Secret, Express, Palmetto Moon, Dillards, Target, and Ann Taylor agreed to put up posters in their break room for their employees to see. And Planet Fitness was kind enough to let me hang one in the ladies locker room.
Then I hit Local Coffee, Starbucks, and Holy Cow in West Ashley, all of which agreed to help spread the word about CP12.
Both the West Ashley and downtown stores agreed to hang signs in their windows.
Also, special shout out to:
Urban Nirvana seemed very excited about collecting donations. It’s great to have the support of local businesses.
Willow Salon and Elysium Salon, both downtown, also agreed to take posters and tell their clients about our project.
I ended the day by stopping at “Reinvented” which is a consignment shop on Savannah Highway. They were big supporters of CP in the past and we are happy to have them supporting us again.
All in all it was a successful day.
